At Penn Street Greens, we are especially passionate about being the leading source of fresh, nutritious microgreens. While living in a busy world, our founder, Jake Hvazda, was inspired to find a way to conveniently implement a healthy lifestyle. Through research, he found no better way than, you guessed it, microgreens!
Microgreen are sprouted seeds, of many varieties, grown and harvested in under 2 weeks! Being in such an early stage of maturity, the nutrientcontent of these greens are extremely high and therefore a greataddition to any healthy diet.
After experimenting with the growing process and incorporating them into his own diet, Hvazda now had a new path to follow. In early Spring of 2022, Penn Street Greens was born in the basement of a century-old row home in historic York, Pennsylvania.
From then on, our mission has been to educate the public of the magical benefits of this product, along with promoting healthy, sustainable living in all aspects. We began selling our produce in the oldest market in York City, Penn Market, and delivering orders to our customers' front doors. Anyway we could get microgreens on people's plates.
Today, we are continuing to grow the "micro movement" and won't stop anytime soon!
